About Marvin Hough

Marvin Hough brings over 30 years of international trade experience, including senior roles at Export Development Canada (EDC) in Asia and Latin America. He has worked in global markets such as China, India, Mexico, and Brazil, providing strategic insights on trade, marketing, and business culture. Following his tenure at EDC, he taught international business at the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management and served on various trade and academic boards. He has authored two books on global business, endorsed by the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT), and continues to mentor professionals in the field. Through his consultancy business, MIRA, he provides international research and analysis services to Canadian businesses, educational institutions, and government organizations focused on key strategic markets.

Commemoration of the Liberation

of the Netherlands by the

Canadian Armed Forces

The people of the Netherlands are forever grateful for the significant role Canada played in the liberation of the Netherlands during the Second World War. Canada’s tremendous sacrifice for our peace and freedom must never be forgotten.

In the spring of 2025, the organisers plan to unveil a poignant outdoor exhibition to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands and express our heartfelt gratitude to Canada and its people.

A TRIBUTE

This exhibition will seamlessly blend photography, storytelling, and sculptural elements to create a compelling experience as you follow an outdoor parkland trail that mirrors the liberation route into the Netherlands.

Step into the powerful narratives of 20 Dutch individuals who were children during the liberation and the heroic stories of 20 Canadian soldiers who played a crucial role in liberating 20 cities in the Netherlands.

The tribute will be set up in Arsenal Park in Mississauga, Ontario and run for the month of May.
