The economic turmoil caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has exposed vulnerabilities in global value chains (GVCs). Major changes have also impacted GVCs including the increasing international fragmentation of production processes that have changed the structure of global trade. Simultaneously, the pressure for companies engaged in international trade to build supply chains with full traceability and accountability for social and environmental impact continues to build. Companies are currently challenged to make their global supply chains more resilient without weakening their competitiveness. How can this be achieved? How can companies respond and act upon the challenges presented by globalized production and supply chains to ensure long-term survival?

Join OWIT-Toronto and the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) for an insightful session to discuss the underlying causes and trajectory of continued supply chain disruptions, as well as, identify the resources, interventions and innovations needed to ease crippling disruptions, logjams and price hikes.

At this session, we will also celebrate the partnership between FITT and OWIT-Toronto with an MOU announcement. This significant partnership will offer OWIT-Toronto and OWIT members with special discounted rates for FITT training to build their international business know-how, global trade competence and equip them with resources and support to compete and succeed in world markets.

FITT’s international business training solutions and related professional (CITP®|FIBP®) designation have become the standard of excellence for global trade professionals across Canada and around the world.
