Canada-UK Trade Post-Brexit (Monday, September 14, 2026)

Invest Ottawa is offering an upcoming hybrid event focused on helping Canadian exporters and importers understand the impacts of Brexit.

The United Kingdom, Canada’s first trading partner in Europe, left the European Union on January 1st, 2021. This workshop will examine the impact of Brexit for U.K. businesses and for Canadian companies dealing with the U.K. and the E.U., both from an exporter and an importer perspective, focusing on the trade in goods.

About the speaker:

Following a + 30-year international logistics career, Christian Sivière started a Montréal-based import-export consultancy in 2010, Solimpex, active in two areas: consulting to help SMEs grow internationally, and training on the regulatory, customs and logistics aspects of Importing and Exporting, Free Trade Agreements and Supply Chain Optimization. Christian is a subject matter expert who lectures and delivers seminars for trade organizations across Canada, provides customized training, and publishes industry articles.

Go for the Greens is an international women’s business development conference focused on helping women entrepreneurs build relationships, access opportunities and grow their companies.

The 2026 Go for the Greens Conference will take place October 1–3 at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. This year’s theme, “Cultivating Connections,” will focus on meaningful business connections that can lead to real opportunities. In the past, Canadian women entrepreneurs have attended Go for the Greens and secured business contracts as a result of connections made through the conference.

This year’s program is expected to include participation from companies and organizations such as Tampa International Airport, Duke Energy and Moffitt Cancer Center, creating valuable opportunities for women business owners to connect with corporate and institutional decision-makers.

Trade Mission to France: Mission Paris 2026 (Sunday, October 25, 2026)

The Réseau des Femmes d'affaires du Québec (RFAQ) is organizing a trade mission to Paris, France from October 25 - 31, 2026. Open to all Canadian women entrepreneurs, this trade mission will help businesses build strategic partnerships, develop their international networks, and access opportunities in the French and European markets. The program includes participation at the two-day InvestHer Summit, an English-language event where women founders and investors can connect.

RFAQ will host an info session in English on July 2 from 12:00pm-1:00pm EST.

BCCC Women in Business Mission to Brazil (Sunday, November 22, 2026)

The Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) is organizing the Brazil–Canada Women in Business Mission 2026 from November 21–27, a delegation that will connect women leaders from Canadian companies with Brazil’s dynamic business ecosystem. Through executive meetings, industry briefings, networking events, and site visits, participants will gain firsthand market insights while building relationships to strengthen commercial ties between Canada and Brazil.

OWIT members are eligible for an exclusive 50% discount on the cost of attendance, reducing the fee to CAD $500 for registrations by September 15, 2026 and CAD $1,000 after.
