Upcoming OECD webinar on Trade and Gender will be held virtually on June 9th at 3 pm EST to discuss the barriers women face when engaging in trade and how policymakers can address them.

The event will showcase the Global Trade and Gender Arrangement (GTAGA) concluded by Canada, Chile and New Zealand in August 2020 that aims to “increase women’s participation in trade as part of broader efforts to improve gender equality and women’s economic empowerment”. The distinguished speakers will include Ministers responsible for Trade from the three GTAGA countries:

  • Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrés Allamand of Chile;
  • Minister for Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade Mary Ng of Canada, and
  • Minister for Trade and Export Growth Damien O’Connor of New Zealand

Three additional speakers from the private sector will be announced in due course.
